I am honored and excited to announce that this blog has been nominated for the 2017 Liebster Award for up-and-coming blogs! I’m gonna be totally honest, I didn’t know that this existed until Stephanie Oplinger nominated me! Thank you Stephanie!! This award was created to bring light to new blogs, giving us exposure, and networking opportunities! I love this idea, and am thrilled to be included!
What is the Liebster Award?
The Liebster Award 2017 is an award that exists only on the internet, and is given to bloggers by other bloggers. The earliest case of the award goes as far back as 2011. Liebster in German means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.
Stephanie Oplinger of Stephanie Oplinger Arts nominated me for this award. Feel free to read her nomination Here. Although her blog is currently under renovations to be relaunched very soon (And I’m SO excited!!), I love her mission. Through her blog, not only is she selling her pieces of art, but also donating a portion of her proceeds to nonprofits and agencies that work with survivors of Human Trafficking! I really appreciate her efforts, as it is a problem that is close to my heart! Definitely take a look at her gallery, her charity donations and her upcoming posts!
I have a few favorites, but it was REALLY hard to pick! And even the narrowing down to JUST my nominations was much more stressful than I ever thought it would be! There are so many talented writers and bloggers out there, and I wish I could nominate a million!
But I would have to say, if I had to pick favorites, I would say Anchored Together and Well Traveled Mom. Both of these blogs are spearheaded by strong women, and I love the concept of women empowering women — not that men shouldn’t also be empowered, but I never understood why women tear each other down… anyways, I digress.
I really enjoy the concept of Anchored Together. I’m not an army wife, or service member, but because of my full time job, I work with Service Members and their families in a lot of different capacities, so I can relate to her blog. I love that it’s helpful with the everyday lives of soldiers and their families. From constantly moving and “PCS-ing”, to having to budget and buy new houses every three years. I also love that she includes city guides to all of the places that they go. They are helpful and real. Definitely Recommend.
I fell in love with Well Traveled Mom, her story and the strength she has in responding to it. I also have to admit, she has some awesome pictures and a very cute baby! From what she struggled with, she seems to have really risen above and continued to live life to its fullest! I am enamored by her, her blog, her strength, and I want to see more from her soon!
